What is underway now

A new chapter is taking shape

Draken continues to develop through maintenance, planning, partnerships, and new opportunities for future activity. This page provides a snapshot of what is currently underway and where interest, enquiries, and collaboration are most welcome.

What is happening now?

Draken returned to sea in July 2026 and sailed to Oslo for the premiere celebrations surrounding Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. The ship is currently welcoming visitors at Sukkerbiten on the Oslo waterfront, with guided tours available through 14 August.

Current focus

  • Preparing the ship for future sailing

  • Developing partnerships and collaborations

  • Exploring media and storytelling opportunities

  • Welcoming selected visit and event enquiries

  • Building momentum for the next public chapter of the project
